  1. TOWERHEX.EXE is a simple utility program written in
  2. Visual Basic that will allow you to "hex edit" your
  3. saved SimTower .TDT tower files to change the star
  4. rating and/or the amount of remaining funds.
  5.  
  6. There are seven simple steps to using the program:
  7. 1. Click on the drive box to select the drive where
  8.    your files are stored.
  9. 2. Click on the directory box to select the directory
  10.    where your files are stored.
  11. 3. Click on the file box to select the file that you
  12.    want to change.
  13. 4. Click on the read file button and you will be
  14.    presented with a display of current values.
  15. 5. Select the star and money values that you want.
  16. 6. Click on the write file button to save these values
  17.    to disk.
  18. 7. Click on the exit button to terminate the program.

  20. If you want to run this program from a Windows icon,
  21. follow these 5 steps:

  23. A. Copy TOWERHEX.EXE to your SIMTOWER directory.
  24. B. Open the Windows Program Group containing SimTower.
  25. C. Select File-New-Program Item-OK from the Windows
  26.    Program Manager Menu.
  27. D. Enter SimTower in the Program Item Properties
  28.    description box, tab to Command Line and click browse.
  29. E. Select Drive and Directory, highlight TOWERHEX.EXE and
  30.    click on OK.
